Many of us (and whenever I begin that way, you know I mean ME!), have a tendency to overcomplicate the most basic aspects in life. We worry, we fuss, we fret. And basically we allow garbage excuses and fear (or even terror) to rule us.
Today we change all of that, okay? Right now let’s address the fact that when we invent our own roadblocks of false concern, we get nowhere. And we get there with a vengeance.
The Simplest Solutions
……….. are the ones we discover when we let go of the untruth and the ego-based bullshit.
We worry about getting hurt. We worry about going broke. We worry about the most idiotic and useless nothings.
The answer to all of those things is: yep. Some crap does happen. Some of it even kills us. So? Big damn deal.
Not one bit of it makes us more loving or more helpful or more kind. And THOSE are where our focus needs to be. Aimed at and centered on lovingkindness.
On our card altar right now, the reminder is similar. Because we can’t go back and we can’t go forward, we can only sit here, in this sacred time and place.
“Ghostlands ~ 17
‘You can learn from the past and imagine a beautiful future, but you must live in the here-and-now.’
Whenever you set your sights too far ahead, you run the risk of losing your footing, for rarely do the present and future match up exactly on the Enchanted Map that is your life story.
The future has no substance right now; it is a place that has no grounding as of yet. You can’t live there, yet you can take measured steps toward a goal or dream. These steps are important now.
The same goes for nostalgia. You can look into the past wistfully and remember beautiful moments or revisit lessons learned. However, you can’t live there, nor can you go back and change what was.
Yesterday is gone forever. Live fully in the present. The ‘now’ is the most powerful place to put your attention. Its magic reaches out in every direction, further than the heart and soul can see.”
