Lest We Forget

A few months before I turned 30, a phenomenon began.  We later learned that it was called Spontaneous Regression.  What happened was, past lives began to play in my head like movies.  I could see, smell, and hear them.

Maybe it works differently for others, but it has occurred to enough of us that there’s a name for it.  (Although, I’ve never met anyone in person, I’ve read quite a few books and on-line accounts about/by folks with similar encounters and experiences.)

Once we figured out what it was, we were fascinated.  The only downside to these “rememberings” was that I now had about a hundred times more recollections to process.

Keep in mind, my primary lesson this time around is to LET GO!  So, gaining more shit to release is kind of a mixed blessings.

For now, it brings us to today’s message.

Memories

Whether it’s from this life, another incarnation, or simply in reference to what went on last week, we all process in an individual and unique fashion.  Applying this to a metaphysical or spiritual aspect can be challenging, it’s difficult to separate out the layers.

As much as we’d like to deconstruct, and remove our emotions from the equation, we are whole and complete only when we blend the components thoroughly.

We have cell memory, muscle memory, early childhood memories, and innumerable types of retained thoughts, impressions, snippets of perception.  It’s all jumbled along like rocks in a clothes dryer.

What we do with this collection is how we move forward.  Do we hoard and hold close?  Do we lovingly treasure and fondle?  Do we look at briefly and toss out?  Do we, perhaps, never even bring them out of the drawer at all?

We have them, now it’s time to decided where they belong.  One use is here on our card altar.  We may use them as lessons, and in that way, we gain knowledge, understanding, and growth.

For me?  I’m gonna cherish the ones I need the most, and hopefully, allow the rest to take off on their own adventure.

“Talisman  ~  49

‘A lesson truly learned is crystallized as earned wisdom.  You have all you need for the success you seek.’

Wisdom allows you to recognize traps on the road and familiar patterns that you want to avoid.  It also enables you to quickly gather information about where you are on your journey.

It helps you recognize your allies and know how to find the bet routes along the way.  Now you’re at a place where you know the right things to do and the best choices to make.

You really can’t commit a mistake.  Whatever your inquiry, great fortune awaits you, for you have the wisdom to arrive at the right decision.

You’ve learned your lessons and earned the right to your success.”

I’ll go grab another chair . . . . .

Join me.  It’s no longer too warm out (yay!), so bring a sweater or quilt.  If you don’t have any, there’s plenty here.
